Britannia Beach Community Association president John Ross welcomes children and parents to Powerline Playground acknowledging the project sponsors which include Mike Young of Britannia Construction and Design who researched and ordered playground equipment and supervised all construction and installation.

Other sponsors donated materials at Young's request who then donated labour and machine time.

SLRD donated $10,000 plus the cost of fencing. The Institute for Research Communication and Development donated $5,000. The BBCA donated $5,000 to the project.
